A self initiated mock advertisement for my favorite monitor company.
Being a speaker hobbyist I wanted to visually explain what sound imaging is with high fidelity speakers. The tagline of "Seeing Between Your Ears" represents how you can hear the the placement of musicians in a recording. The Kef LS50 was chosen for its superiority in sound imaging as well as its iconic design. The placement of the speakers is imperative to create the illusion of imaging, the photo ad below demonstrates that by taking up two whole posters and placing the white vinyl characters in between them. The character design borrows heavily from mid century design, which was chosen as to hearken back to the golden age of hifi.
The photo ad above features a dotted line indicating the "sweet spot" of perfect imaging. The viewer of the ad can come to the conclusion that being in between the speakers at ear level create the visage of sound imaging.
